MCP Registry is the official directory for discovering MCP servers built by the open-source community. The registry provides a searchable interface for finding servers by name or keyword, with real-time search results and the ability to filter by latest versions only. Each server listing displays version information, descriptions, repository URLs, and configuration details.
The platform features a REST API with interactive documentation and a complete OpenAPI specification. Key endpoints include server listing with pagination, search functionality, and detailed server information retrieval. As of October 2024, the Registry API entered a v0.1 API freeze, ensuring stability with no breaking changes.
The web interface implements cursor-based pagination, recently updated server highlights, and browser history integration for preserving search state. The registry serves as the central hub for agents and developers to discover and integrate MCP servers into their workflows.
